Mobile Mechanical Engineer

Mobile Mechanical Engineer – Surrey / Merton cover only - £45k

My Client are a mechanical engineering firm who have been in operation for over 50 years providing mechanical engineering solutions to their diverse portfolio of clients.

They seek a Mobile commercial plumber/mechanical engineer to carry out servicing maintenance and repair predominantly to their contracts across Surrey and Merton.

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance;
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns;
• Actuators, expansion vessels, hot and cold water systems, strainers, pumps;
• General commercial plumbing repair;
• Respond to emergency call‑outs and unplanned maintenance issues.

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in a Mechanical discipline such as Plumbing and Heating.
• UHWSS or G3 Qualified.
• Commercial plant room experience.
• Minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
• Full Clean Driving License.
• Must pass an enhanced DBS background check.

Must Live within a reasonable distance of Surrey & Merton.

• £40‑45k dependent on experience and qualifications held.
• 40 hour week Monday to Friday.
• Weekly or Monthly pay to suit.
• Travel time paid after 30 minutes given each way.
• Fully expensed company van (with private use), fuel card and expenses.
• Plenty of overtime available.
• Call out rota 1 in 7 weeks with a £200 retainer.
