TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Susanville, California.

The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by the physician.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, and bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds easily and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.

BLS, ACLS, and 2 years of recent acute care experience. Additional certifications may be required before the assignment.

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Total Med Travel Job .
