The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. This role applies specialized nursing knowledge to support patients based on physical and developmental age, while ensuring high‑quality nursing services delivered directly or through others under direction. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Responsibilities- Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning domains; review history/physical with the patient and family and ensure timely completion
- Formulate and update a patient plan of care, including discharge planning, using assessment data and input from the patient, family, and multidisciplinary team
- Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, and delegation/supervision of health care team activities
- Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching; revise the plan of care based on outcomes and changing patient status
- Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record, ensuring documentation is timely, legible, and reflects objective/subjective data and interventions
- Provide care using best evidence available and participate in unit/facility shared leadership and education/mentorship as appropriate
- In some roles, provide supervision and direction to licensed and non‑licensed personnel to support department workflow and quality of care
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (or temporary/interim RN license in the state of practice, or compact RN licensure for the current state of practice)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area of practice through annual validations
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Professional certification preferred
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred
- Employees must be prepared to work in a typical direct patient care environment, including frequent standing/walking and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting (up to 75 pounds)
