Salary Range: $28.00 - $33.43 Hourly
The LVN provides medical support services for the clinic providers. The LVN performs patient oriented procedures under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, RN or provider. The LVN is responsible for providing high standards of patient care, maintaining a positive, caring, professional attitude and working together with all staff members as a team player. Must have the ability to work various shifts, may at times be asked to travel to other NRHC clinic sites to fill in as needed, work Saturday shifts as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities- Interviews patients or relatives to obtain appropriate health history and/or immunization status.
- Performs screening tests for which he or she has been prepared by education and experience.
- Maintains records and prepares oral reports.
- Contributes to the attainment of the goals of the unit by using contacts with individuals and community relationships to contribute to better public understanding of health services.
- Prepares, administers, and records immunizations and drugs as agency policies permit.
- Takes vital signs and measurements (i.e., height/length and weight).
- Assembles materials and equipment in preparation for clinic sessions and maintains adequate supplies.
- Cleans and maintains clinic equipment and disposes of used supplies correctly.
- Administers injections according to agency policy.
- Knowledge of and the ability to perform nursing procedures for which the vocational nursing course has provided the necessary degree of skill and judgment; performance shall be limited to those acts for which he or she has been prepared.
- Knowledge of accepted procedures for disposing of used supplies.
- Ability to observe the general physical condition of patients to detect signs of abnormalities.
- Ability to record observations completely, accurately, legibly, and concisely.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and over telephone.
- Ability to exercise tact, initiative, and good judgment in dealing with people.
- Ability to accept supervision.
- Must have the physical ability execute the full performance of the duties of the position.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing and moving may be required.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
- Licensed to practice as a vocational nurse in the state.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current California LVN license, current CPR certification, IV certified, able to perform phlebotomy procedures.
- Must have valid California driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and eligibility to work in United States.
- Competent computer skills, preferably with ECW.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize to maintain optimum clinic back office flow, maintain patient confidentiality, and be flexible to meet the needs of patients and co-workers, use discretion/good judgment.
