The Mortgage Loan Originator is a full-time, on-site role based in Sussex, WI. This role is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, guiding customers through the loan application process, and providing clear, timely communication from initial inquiry through closing. Day-to-day activities include meeting with prospective borrowers, assessing their financing needs, collecting and reviewing documentation, and collaborating with underwriting and processing teams to ensure accurate and compliant loan files.

The Mortgage Loan Originator will build and maintain relationships with customers, real estate professionals, and internal partners, while promoting Luminate Bank’s mortgage products and digital banking solutions. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of mortgage regulations, lending guidelines, and market trends to provide informed recommendations and support a positive borrower experience.

• Strong mortgage lending expertise, including experience in Mortgage Lending, Loan Origination, and Loans.
• Solid analytical and risk assessment skills, with familiarity in Underwriting and Finance.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships, explain complex financial concepts clearly, and provide service-oriented support.
• Knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations, lending guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to work on-site in Sussex, WI, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage a pipeline of loans in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or in a related banking or lending role; NMLS registration and relevant state licensing required or eligible to obtain.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
