We are recruiting a Receptionist at New Hall Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels. New Hall Hotel & Spa is a stunning and unique hotel dating back to the 13th Century, known as England’s oldest listed inhabited moated house. With contemporary comforts, a spa and health club, a two‑AA Rosette restaurant and extensive meeting and events facilities, it is a popular choice for weddings, bespoke events and conferences.

Responsibilities
  • The role of our receptionists is to deliver an exceptional guest experience, putting the guest at the heart of everything you do, through personalised and thoughtful service with care and attention to detail.
  • You will demonstrate a high level of engagement with guests throughout their stay to make them feel at home, relaxed and to identify and create magical memories at every possible opportunity.
  • Working in collaboration with the Front Office team you’ll maintain regular and effective communication to ensure a seamless operation and be aware of all the day's activities.

About You
  • Experience working in a luxury four or five‑star hotel within a front‑office environment.
  • Passion for going above and beyond for guests and an ability to recognise and act on opportunities to make the guest experience memorable through offering or suggesting appropriate hotel products and facilities.
  • High emotional intelligence, enabling you to anticipate guest needs and deliver a Hand Picked experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of hotel reservation systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Opera is desirable.
  • Enthusiastic, willing, and a solutions‑oriented mindset to handle any scenario.
  • Calm and professional, maintaining an outwardly positive attitude even when under pressure.
