As the business continues to grow, we are looking for a Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team in the Midlands, helping clients manage risk, achieve compliance and maintain safe water systems.

Job detailsWe're looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Legionella Risk Assessor. This is an entry level position where full training will be provided, making it an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start a career in water hygiene and risk management.
As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for carrying out Legionella risk assessments across a varied client portfolio, identifying risks, providing practical recommendations, producing written reports and supporting clients in maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and guidance. The role requires a candidate who can drive and work across multiple sites, including nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays.
There may also be opportunity for international travel. The role requires working in a range of different types of buildings including hospitals, commercial settings, schools and public buildings.
No previous industry experience is required. Our ideal candidate is someone with the right attitude, analytical mindset and willingness to learn.
This is primarily a field based role suited to someone who thrives in a technical environment, enjoys solving problems, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in producing high quality work.
What you will do- Carry out Legionella risk assessments in accordance with industry guidance including BS8580-1.
- Inspect hot and cold water systems across a range of commercial, healthcare, educational and industrial sites.
- Produce detailed risk assessment reports and provide clear recommendations to clients.
- Identify compliance issues and advise on appropriate remedial actions.
- Working alongside experienced consultants and authorising engineers while completing your training.
- Travelling to client sites with some overnight stays where required.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, compliance and quality standards.
You are a motivated professional who brings a practical, solutions focused mindset. You will ideally have:
- Experience of report writing.
- A degree (or equivalent qualification), preferably in a scientific, engineering or environmental discipline.
- A genuine interest in science and engineering.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office.
- Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues.
- Motivation to learn and develop professionally.
- The ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A high level of attention to detail and accountability.
