LANGAN Carpets & Interiors LTD - Apprentice Floorlayer

As an Apprentice Floor layer, the successful candidate will work alongside experienced floor layers, learning how to install a variety of flooring products including carpets, vinyl and luxury vinyl tiles (LVT). No previous experience is needed—just a positive attitude, willingness to learn and pride in doing a good job.

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands‑on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

The apprentice will learn how to:

• Prepare floors ready for installation, including cleaning and levelling subfloors.
• Measure rooms and help calculate the materials needed for each job.
• Install carpets, vinyl flooring and luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) to a high standard.
• Use specialist flooring tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Handle and transport flooring materials carefully.
• Work alongside experienced floor layers to complete installations in customers' homes.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Attend apprenticeship training and complete coursework and assessments.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

WEBS TRAINING LIMITED

Floor layer - textile and resilient (level
2)

During your Level 2 Floor Layer apprenticeship programme you will receive training both off and on-the-job. You will be trained at the employer within the workplace and also at Webs Training in Beeston on a block release basis for a week at a time every 10 weeks, costs are covered by the employer.
