Rhode Island Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Patient Coordinator to join our team. We are committed to providing high-quality dental and orthodontic care while creating positive experiences for children, families, and patients of all ages. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while helping the practice operate efficiently.

As a Patient Coordinator, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and seamless experience for patients and families. You will support the front office by coordinating appointments, assisting with patient check-in and check-out, answering questions, and working closely with the clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow.

Your responsibilities will include:

Greet and welcome patients and families with warmth and professionalism

Manage accurate patient check-in and check-out processes

Schedule, confirm, and remind patients of appointments

Handle incoming calls and patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Assist patients and families with scheduling questions and general office needs

Verify insurance benefits and assist with billing and financial questions

Maintain accurate and organized patient records and information

Support efficient patient flow and communicate with the clinical team regarding scheduling or patient needs

Help create a positive and comfortable experience for children, parents, and caregivers

Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and other applicable privacy requirements

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment

Support the team with additional administrative responsibilities as needed

Travel between the Coventry and East Greenwich locations as needed

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a dental or medical front-office setting preferred

Previous pediatric dental experience is a plus

Strong customer service and communication skills

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable working with children, parents, and caregivers

Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude

Ability to learn and utilize practice management and scheduling systems

Ability to work collaboratively with both clinical and administrative team members
