Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join a leading industrial manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong machine shop background in CNC milling and turning operations who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee development.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will lead daily shop floor operations, manage production personnel, and ensure manufacturing goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This position plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise manufacturing personnel to meet production schedules and quality standards
- Schedule and assign work based on production priorities and staffing needs
- Monitor workflow, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Enforce and promote all safety policies, procedures, and best practices
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop manufacturing employees
- Create and support employee development and performance improvement plans
- Collaborate with production planning and cross-functional teams to optimize staffing and workflow
- Implement cost-saving strategies and process improvements
- Support maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
- Conduct regular shop floor walkthroughs and maintain a visible leadership presence
- Track attendance, labor hours, production metrics, and operational performance
- Foster open communication between team members and leadership
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment
- Leadership role with significant impact on operations and team success
- Collaborative and safety-focused manufacturing environment

Qualifications
- Strong machine shop knowledge, particularly in CNC Milling and Turning operations
- Minimum of 6 years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop teams
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience managing production schedules, workflow, and performance metrics
- Ability to identify productivity improvements and implement effective solutions
- Associate's degree plus relevant experience required;
Bachelor's degree preferred - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds as needed
- Flexibility to work additional hours when required to meet production demands
