Manufacturing Supervisor (1st Shift)

Location: Onsite.
Employment Type: Temp to Direct after 90 Days.
Schedule: 1st Shift.

Location: Sutton, MA.
Salary Range: $73,336 - $102,671 annually.

Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join a leading industrial manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader with a strong machine shop background in CNC milling and turning operations who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment and is passionate about driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee development.

• Lead and supervise manufacturing personnel to meet production schedules and quality standards
• Schedule and assign work based on production priorities and staffing needs
• Monitor workflow, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Enforce and promote all safety policies, procedures, and best practices
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop manufacturing employees
• Create and support employee development and performance improvement plans
• Collaborate with production planning and cross‑functional teams to optimize staffing and workflow
• Implement cost‑saving strategies and process improvements
• Support maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
• Conduct regular shop floor walkthroughs and maintain a visible leadership presence
• Track attendance, labor hours, production metrics, and operational performance
• Foster open communication between team members and leadership
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment

• Strong machine shop knowledge, particularly in CNC Milling and Turning operations
• Minimum of 6 years of manufacturing experience
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop teams
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Experience managing production schedules, workflow, and performance metrics
• Ability to identify productivity improvements and implement effective solutions
• Associate’s degree plus relevant experience required;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds as needed
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required to meet production demands
