Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join a leading industrial manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader with a strong machine shop background in CNC milling and turning operations who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment and is passionate about driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement. You will lead daily shop floor operations, manage production personnel, and ensure manufacturing goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities- Resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Enforce and promote all safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop manufacturing employees.
- Create and support employee development and performance improvement plans.
- Collaborate with production planning and cross‑functional teams to optimize staffing and workflow.
- Implement cost‑saving strategies and process improvements.
- Support maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
- Conduct regular shop floor walkthroughs and maintain a visible leadership presence.
- Track attendance, labor hours, production metrics, and operational performance.
- Foster open communication between team members and leadership.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
- Strong machine shop knowledge, particularly in CNC Milling and Turning operations.
- Minimum of 6 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop teams.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience managing production schedules, workflow, and performance metrics.
- Ability to identify productivity improvements and implement effective solutions.
- Associate’s degree plus relevant experience required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when required to meet production demands.
