Position:
Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately apply customer payments to the correct accounts.
- Support financial planning by forecasting cash flow needs.
- Receive, record, and process cash and electronic payments, including sending checks to the bank.
- Perform financial calculations, such as determining amounts due, balances, discounts, and principal.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Debit, credit, and update account information in spreadsheets and databases.
- Process and verify credit applications for potential customers, including contacting references, verifying banking information, and checking Dun & Bradstreet standings.
- Set up new customer accounts in the system with complete and accurate information.
- Calculate, prepare, and issue manual billing, invoices, account statements, and other financial documents in accordance with established procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP is a plus but not required.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, databases, and other accounting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions and account reconciliation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with credit processing and financial record‑keeping is an advantage.
