Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
We are a growing international distribution company headquartered in Suwanee, GA, and we're looking for an Accounting Manager to lead a core part of our finance operation through an exciting period of growth — including an upcoming ERP system implementation. Employee tenure here is exceptionally high, and we invest in people for the long term.
This is a hybrid role (3 days in office) reporting into the senior finance leadership team. You will manage a team of 3 AP Coordinators while also owning general accounting responsibilities across month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is not a transactional position — we need a process-oriented leader who can run a clean close, drive invoice resolution, build scalable workflows, and develop their team's decision-making capabilities.
WHATYOU'LL DO
- Lead, mentor, and develop 3 AP Coordinators
- Train the team to make business decisions on invoice discrepancies — e.g., determining whether a difference should be written off, researched, or re-invoiced by the supplier
- Set performance expectations, conduct regular one-on-ones, and build a strong bench of decision-makers
- Own assigned areas of the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Support intercompany accounting and consolidations across the international entity structure
- Partner with the controller on variance analysis, management reporting, and ad-hoc financial analysis
- Support external audit requests and ensure documentation and controls are audit-ready
- Own the daily and monthly reconciliation process for accrued invoices (inventory AP)
- Drive invoice resolution with operations teams and suppliers
- Oversee AP workflows, payment runs, and vendor account management
- Identify and implement process improvements across the AP function
- Play a key role in an upcoming ERP system implementation — contributing accounting and AP expertise, testing, and cross-functional coordination
- Help design future-state workflows that improve close efficiency and AP throughput
- Partner with operations, procurement, and supply chain on invoice and inventory workflows
- Collaborate with the broader accounting and finance team on month-end close, accruals, and financial reporting
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including AP management and general accounting
- Strong general accounting knowledge: journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close
- Experience managing and developing staff
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong process improvement mindset — you build systems, not just process transactions
- Comfortable working across operations, procurement, and supplier relationships
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Inventory or distribution accounting experience
- Experience in an international distribution environment, including intercompany and multi-currency accounting
- Prior ERP implementation experience (Net Suite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
- Profit sharing plan
- 401(k) with non-elective employer match
- 15 days PTO
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision
- Hybrid schedule — 3 days in office, 2 days remote
This is a high-impact leadership role at a company that values its people — just look at the tenure. You'll have the chance to lead a team, shape how accounting and AP operate across an international distribution business, and leave a real mark on a growing organization through the upcoming ERP implementation.
