A little about the position:
Job SummaryResponsible for coordinating office administration, purchasing, safety administration, employee engagement activities, vendor management, hiring support, and operational support for the facility.
Some ofWhat You Will Do:
- Coordinate interviews and candidate communications.
- Schedule interviews and distribute interview invitations.
- Provide applicants with facility directions and required forms.
- Issue and remove badges, access permissions and security codes.
- Assist with the coordination of employee events, recognition programs and celebrations including ordering lunch
- Support employee committee meetings and plant meetings.
- Track action items and communicate updates.
- Process MRO purchases and obtain approvals.
- Maintain purchasing records, checkbooks and budget tracking.
- Assign GL codes and submit invoices for payment. Monitor vendor invoices and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Order office, breakroom, maintenance and safety supplies.
- Support leadership meetings, reports and special projects.
- Manage reception and telephone coverage.
- Assist with creating reports (Excel and PowerPoint) needed for presentations
- Conduct and coordinate employee safety training.
- Maintain training records and compliance documentation.
- Manage Velocity tasks, hazard reports and corrective actions.
- Coordinate hearing tests, inspections and first-aid training.
- Lead Safety Committee administration and meeting minutes.
- Coordinate safety vendors, fire extinguisher inspections and PPE programs.
- Performs other duties or projects as assigned.
- Ability to work alone or in a team.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in oral and written form.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and set and reach goals while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to take direction.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate degree preferred. - 3+ years of office administration, purchasing, HR support, safety administration, or manufacturing support experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Able to handle confidential information with the appropriate level of professionalism and discretion
