Job Description:
Quick Hire Opportunity! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimating Specialist to join our growing residential single-family electrical construction team. This position supports pre‑construction operations by preparing accurate estimates, reviewing plans, coordinating material pricing, and assisting with bid preparation.
- Prepare residential electrical estimates and material takeoffs.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and builder requirements.
- Coordinate pricing with vendors and suppliers.
- Assist with budgeting and pre‑construction planning.
- Maintain accurate bid and estimating records.
- Communicate with project managers, field staff, builders, and suppliers.
- Identify scope gaps and project risks.
- Attend occasional builder meetings and job site visits.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in residential electrical estimating or construction.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings.
- Strong math, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and estimating software.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass pre‑employment background screening.
Physical Requirements
Combination of office and occasional field/site work; prolonged computer use and desk work; ability to walk active construction sites as needed; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
