The Department of Bio‑Medical Sciences is recruiting an individual dedicated to teaching and training the next generation of medical students with multidisciplinary expertise in microbiology and/or infectious disease.

• Teach 70% of course load: develop and implement Microbiology content for the preclinical years of the DO Program, coordinate integration with basic and clinical science educators.
• Contribute to student assessment and remediation.
• Mentor and advise medical students in academic and curricular matters.
• Participate in developing and facilitating the clinical presentation–based curriculum.
• Support technological platforms for course content, activities, and assessments; establish learning objectives and competency standards.
• Promote and use active learning techniques in the classroom; may serve as Course Director.
• Engage in scholarly activities (15% of time) as defined by faculty guidelines.
• Perform service duties (15% of time) including administrative committees.

• PhD, DO or MD in Microbiological Sciences or Infectious Disease.
• 2–3 years of teaching experience.
• Experience with college/university personnel policies and higher education trends.
• Strong commitment to innovation, student‑centered education, technology, and professional development.

• Evidence of successful collaboration and interdisciplinary work.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations; excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to supervise, advise, train, and assess students and peers.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; manage competing priorities under deadlines.
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office
  365.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, education, and responsibilities. The salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting.
