The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program at PCOM–Georgia invites applications for a full-time faculty position. We are seeking a collaborative and innovative educator committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service within a student‑centered, whole‑person care environment grounded in osteopathic principles.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty team and contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of a contemporary DPT curriculum. Faculty responsibilities include teaching across the curriculum, engaging in scholarly activity, advising and mentoring students, and participating in program assessment and service at the program, campus, and professional levels.
Primary Responsibilities- Teach in assigned areas of expertise within the DPT curriculum
- Contribute to curriculum development, implementation, and ongoing assessment
- Advise and mentor students, supporting professional development and success
- Engage in scholarly activity consistent with program and CAPTE expectations
- Participate in program assessment, accreditation processes, and continuous quality improvement
- Contribute to service activities at the program, institutional, and professional levels
- Degree in physical therapy from an accredited, entry‑level program
- Licensed physical therapist with greater than or equal to 3 years of post‑licensure clinical experience
- Current or eligibility for physical therapy licensure in the state of Georgia
- Demonstrated effectiveness in communication, collaboration, and organization
- Terminal academic degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Board certification or advanced clinical expertise
- Prior teaching experience in a physical therapy education program
- Record of scholarly activity or potential for scholarship
- Contemporary expertise in any of the following areas:
Cardiopulmonary, Limb loss/prosthesis, Wound management, Anatomy
Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, education, and the responsibilities of the role. The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
