Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a Music Teacher to provide high-quality private and group lessons in our retail lesson studio. In this role, you'll teach students of varying ages and skill levels, design individualized lesson plans, and prepare students for performances and school-related activities. You'll collaborate closely with store staff to support lesson enrollment, recommend instruments and accessories, and contribute to a friendly, student-focused environment.

This position is ideal for passionate musicians and educators who want to advance music education in a mission-driven retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans and learning goals aligned with student needs
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
• Prepare students for recitals, performances, and school-related music activities
• Maintain accurate lesson schedules, attendance records, and progress notes
• Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment and retention
• Promote instruments, accessories, and educational materials that support learning
• Ensure a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment in the lesson studio
• Participate in occasional store events, workshops, and community outreach
• Uphold Music & Arts teaching standards, policies, and customer service expectations
