Applications Engineer

Mujin is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer with a strong background in robotics, automation, and engineering. This role involves hands-on installation, commissioning, and debugging of robotics systems, as well as collaboration with internal teams and external partners to develop and implement cutting-edge automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the complete lifecycle of robotics systems and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Become the subject matter expert on the Mujin Controller platform in order to demonstrate, train, support, and guide our channel partners.
• Hands-on installation, commissioning, and debugging of robotics systems, including robot arms, PLCs, and applications peripheral equipment such as grippers, conveyors, vision systems, and pneumatics equipment.
• Engage in proactive pre- and post-sales activities to support the technical development of partners and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Travel with the channel sales team to demonstrate the capability of the Mujin Controller to new partners and customers.
• Provide support for the design and development of robotics and automation solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, product, and service to support all partners in the North American region.
• Provide technical support, including reading electrical diagrams, configuration for the Mujin Controller, and using high-level programming languages such as C++, Java, Python.
• Utilize design software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, Fusion, or similar) to support the creation and implementation of robotics solutions.
• Maintain and demonstrate solutions in the Mujin show room, test and debug new software, and provide feedback to the engineering and R&D teams.
• Participate in the development and delivery of Mujin training courses and support the technical development of the partner network.
• Act as an ambassador for Mujin, contributing to our business vision and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.

• A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in the Robotics and Automation Industry, with hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, and debugging.
• Proficient in robotics programming languages and high-level programming languages (C++, Java, Python).
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and proficiency in design software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, Fusion, or similar).
• Experience with traditional robotics software and a thorough understanding of the robotics systems lifecycle.
• Highly proactive, with excellent problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and a logical approach to challenges.
• Advanced English language proficiency and the flexibility to travel as needed.
• Independent yet collaborative team player, motivated by solving complex tasks with a practical approach.

• Travel Requirement:
  Up to 70%, domestically.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to work extended hours as required.
• Warehouse exposure.
