TRC's client, a growing U.S. team at a leading semiconductor company building next-generation memory and interconnect solutions for data center and cloud environments.
This is a hands-on, hardware-focused role where you’ll work directly with cutting-edge technologies like DDR5 (and DDR6), PCIe, and CXL, validating products in real server environments before they reach customers.
If you enjoy debugging complex hardware/software interactions, working in the lab, and solving real-world system issues, this role offers strong ownership, visibility, and growth.
What You’ll Do
Perform system-level validation of memory and interconnect products (DDR5, PCIe, CXL) in server environments
Bring up hardware platforms and run end-to-end testing across OS, configurations, and workloads
Debug issues across hardware, firmware, and OS layers to identify root cause
Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and stress scenarios
Analyze results, identify performance issues, and drive improvements
Collaborate with hardware design, firmware, and system teams to resolve issues
Support customer environments (including occasional onsite support) to ensure product performance and compatibility
Utilize scripting (Python preferred) for test automation and data analysis
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in hardware, system, or silicon validation
Hands-on experience working with hardware platforms (lab or server environments)
Strong debugging skills across hardware, firmware, and system-level issues
Experience in one or more of the following:
Memory technologies (DDR4/DDR5, LPDDR, SRAM)
High-speed interfaces (PCIe, CXL, Ser Des)
Storage technologies (SSD/NVMe)
Nice to Have:
