Geiger Automotive USA Inc. (Suwanee, GA) is hiring an Automation Engineer to perform the following job duties:
- Program and support 3-axis and 6-axis robotic systems used in injection molding production environments.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC systems, including Siemens, Omron, and Benchoff platforms.
- Diagnose and resolve automation issues involving electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and complete required documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and production personnel to support production goals.
- Fabricate repair parts using shop equipment to support automation systems.
- Perform startup and commissioning of injection molding machines (IMMs).
- Install, program, and support industrial vision systems, including Keyence and IFM platforms.
- Install and program End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) for robotic applications.
- Configure and troubleshoot Engel injection molding machine interfaces.
- Configure and troubleshoot Krauss Maffei injection molding machine interfaces.
- Perform programming and troubleshooting for KUKA robotic systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent)
- 2 years of experience in Automation engineering or a related occupation involving PLC programming, robot programming, and injection molding automation systems.
