Position Purpose

Performs non-professional direct care duties following the care plan under the direction and supervision of the Administrator /LPN Nurse Manager. Provides ADL support. Maintains a positive physical, social, and psychological environment for the Villagers at the Assisted Living Center. Demonstrated organizational and communication skills are essential. The ability to multitask and cope with stress in difficult situations is necessary.

Required Qualifications

Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in good standing and meet all applicable federal and Georgia state certification requirements.

Speak and understand English and able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.

Must have a High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).

Must be 18 year of age to operate Annandale Vehicles/Golf Carts, employee must have a valid Class C Georgia Driver's License with 3 years driving experience, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements.

Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting.

Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Assists Villagers with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, escorting, medication supervision and other functions of designated in the Villager's Service Plan.

Provide functions as directed by the Nurse Manager including the taking and recording of temperature, pulse and respiration and monthly weights and blood pressures. Observe and report immediately information in the chart using approved charting criteria.

Report immediately to the Nurse Manager, Administrator and or family all accidents, or incidents, record all necessary information in appropriate system and render first aid.

Assist as directed in proper admission, transfer, and discharge of Villagers.
