Monday–Thursday, 7:15 AM–4:30 PM;
Friday, 7:15 AM–12:30 PM | 40 hours/week | Weekdays

Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and is responsible for collecting and preparing quality blood specimens for laboratory testing. The PSR II provides a professional, safe, and reassuring patient experience while following established procedures for specimen collection, processing, documentation, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary specimen collections accurately and safely.
  • Collect and process both clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
  • Provide skilled phlebotomy services for Pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Verify patient identification and demographic information before collection.
  • Ensure specimen tubes are properly labeled in the patient's presence.
  • Obtain required patient signatures and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Maintain required records and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
  • Support multiple patient service centers or physician-office locations as business needs require.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
  • Experience with Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Strong venipuncture and specimen-handling skills.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Keyboard and data-entry experience.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, when applicable.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, on-call, and across multiple locations as needed.
  • Ability to adapt to changing staffing and business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
