Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager plays an important role in supporting Annandale’s employees and leaders through the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources services.

This role is responsible for core HR operations, including employee relations, benefits and leave administration, Workers’ Compensation, HR systems and records, employment compliance, and consistent administration of HR policies and processes.

The Human Resources Manager serves as a trusted day-to-day resource for employees and managers, helping navigate workplace questions, employee concerns, performance issues, benefits, leave, and other employment matters. The role works closely with the CHRO and escalates complex, high-risk, or strategic matters when appropriate.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a day-to-day HR resource for employees and managers across Annandale.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, employee concerns, performance issues, documentation, and corrective action.
  • Support employee relations matters and workplace investigations, ensuring appropriate and timely documentation.
  • Help ensure policies and HR practices are applied fairly and consistently.
  • Recognize matters that require additional review and partner with or escalate to the CHRO as appropriate.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with employees and leaders while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
Administer Benefits & Employee Leave
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of Annandale’s employee benefit programs.
  • Serve as a primary resource for employees with questions about benefits, enrollment, eligibility, and qualifying life events.
  • Coordinate open enrollment activities in partnership with the CHRO, benefit brokers, carriers, and other partners.
  • Administer FMLA and other applicable employee leave processes, including eligibility, required documentation, employee communication, and tracking.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure benefit elections, deductions, leave information, and employee changes are accurate and timely.
  • Work with employees, benefit providers, and other partners to resolve benefit and leave issues.
  • Coordinate Workers’ Compensation claims from initial reporting through follow-up and return to work.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers throughout the Workers’ Compensation process.
  • Coordinate with carriers and other partners regarding claims, work status, restrictions, and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow-up on open claims.
Keep HR Operations Running Effectively
  • Manage day-to-day employee lifecycle processes, including status changes, transfers, and separations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete employee records and personnel files.
  • Ensure employee information within HR systems is accurate, current, and appropriately documented.
  • Process and monitor HR transactions and workflows.
  • Partner closely with Payroll to ensure employee and benefit changes are communicated accurately and timely.
