Murrelektronik is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SAP Data Entry Clerk to support our Production Planning and Supply Chain operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory data within SAP, ensuring timely processing of purchase requisitions, and supporting inventory accuracy across the organization.
The ideal candidate has experience working within an SAP ERP environment, possesses strong analytical and organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This individual will work cross-functionally with Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, and Finance to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Enter and maintain accurate purchasing orders in SAP.
- Process all purchase requisitions in the 'cockpit' daily.
- Verify data accuracy and communicate discrepancies between SAP records and physical inventory
- Assist in cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation as needed
- Collaborate with the warehouse, procurement, finance, and logistics teams to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify data inconsistencies and recommend process improvements to enhance data quality.
Desired Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
:
- 1–3 years of experience in SAP data entry, purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP modules such as MM (Materials Management) and Inventory Management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory control, and supply chain operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to manage priorities and ensure daily tasks are completed on time.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload and complete assigned tasks within the scheduled workday in a fast-paced environment
- Support internal customers and have the ability to collaborate and be a dependable team player
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry and governmental regulations, and health and safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation of material orders, deliveries, and usage
This job operates in a production office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors. This position will require the use of personal protective equipment in the production area. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position based in the office, and hours of work days are Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm.
