Our client is the US subsidiary of a privately owned global market leader providing engineered and prefabricated metal products and systems to complex industrial markets.
The business supports customers across data centres, life sciences, energy, chemicals, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure and other technically demanding sectors.
Having achieved exceptional growth in recent years, the US operation is now entering a major new phase of development. This will include relocation to a substantially larger facility, further investment in operational capability and the establishment of domestic manufacturing partnerships and production capacity.
The RoleThis newly created position represents a planned succession opportunity. The successful candidate will initially work alongside the existing executive leadership team before progressing into the Vice President of Operations role after a period of settling in and handover.
The appointment will provide strategic and operational leadership across supply chain, warehousing, logistics, prefabrication, customer service and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing the operational strategy required to support continued rapid growth
- Leading warehousing, logistics, supply chain, prefabrication and customer service
- Supporting the successful transition into a significantly larger facility during 2027
- Establishing and scaling US manufacturing capability
- Introducing robust operational KPIs, reporting and improvement programmes
- Building the structure, processes and leadership capability required for further expansion
- Recruiting, developing and leading a growing multidisciplinary operations team
- Managing operational budgets, costs and profitability
- Working closely with commercial, engineering and finance leadership
We are seeking an accomplished operational leader with experience gained within industrial manufacturing, engineered products, prefabrication, MEP or a related technical environment.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience leading operations through significant business growth and organisational scale-up
- Strong supply chain, warehouse and logistics leadership
- Experience of manufacturing, production implementation or greenfield operational development
- A track record of scaling customer service and operational teams
- Strong commercial and financial understanding
- Experience implementing ERP-led reporting, KPIs and continuous improvement
- A hands‑on, entrepreneurial and highly collaborative leadership style
- The ability to combine strategic planning with close attention to operational detail
