Insertion Machine Operator SUMMARYThe Insertion Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining insertion machinery to produce high-quality finished products. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. The Insertion Machine Operator will be trained on equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and quality control, with the opportunity to develop into a Lead Operator role over time.
This position is available for both 1st and 2nd shifts and is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and learning complex machinery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate insertion machinery according to established procedures and production requirements
- Set up machines, load materials, and adjust settings to meet job specifications
- Monitor machine performance during production and make adjustments as needed
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure finished products meet established standards
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and report complex problems to supervision
- Maintain a steady workflow by accepting work from upstream processes and preparing output for the next department
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or product quality issues promptly
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance and housekeeping tasks
Follow all safety, quality and operational guidelines - Participate in training and cross‑training with the goal of developing advanced machine knowledge and leadership skills
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor
Full-Time, On-Site Position
Shifts Available:
1st Shift : 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
2nd Shift: 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Travel: None required
QUALIFICATIONS Required- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and operate industrial machinery
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and production documentation
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, and percentages
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
- Prior experience operating manufacturing or production equipment
- Interest in growth and advancement into a Lead Operator role
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to multitask, including operating multiple machines simultaneously
- Awareness of safety risks and ability to report unsafe conditions
Work is performed in a climate- and humidity-controlled production environment
Noise levels may range from moderate to high
