Trimmer

Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Trimmer. The Trimmer will trim excess rubber from the mat borders and inspect top and bottom of the mats to ensure they meet manufacturing and customer requirements.

• Check the shop order for special instructions, including any required width.
• Determine whether mats should be rolled or flat; stack flat mats immediately and roll mats on the roller.
• Check trim line and trimming machine – string, blade, and air line.
• Keep trim channel free of tuffs, rubber pieces, and other small particles.
• Pull mats from the conveyor and place them on the cart or directly on the trimming table.
• Use the trimming machine to cut and remove excess rubber from the mat borders.
• Use the "Border Width Gauge" to verify the width – all four sides must be uniform in width and thickness per customer spec.
• Inspect top and bottom of each mat at every step for quality defects.
• Segregate defective mats; remove borders or mark backing and carpet issues appropriately; do not mix rejected mats with accepted ones.
• Record all rejected and scrap mats in the trimmer log.
• Communicate any product issues to the line CEO promptly.
• Keep the area neat, clean, and safe.

• Comfortable standing for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, or maneuver product weighing 20+ lbs.
