Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
First Shift - Monday to Friday OT Saturday 7am-3pm
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Associate for 1st shift to join our PCB assembly team. The successful candidate will contribute to the manufacturing process by assembling printed circuit boards with precision, ensuring quality standards, and adhering to safety protocols. This role supports high-complexity, low- to medium-volume production with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform assembly tasks based on detailed instructions, including reading and interpreting assembly guides to construct products and components.
* Conduct pre-final testing of partially assembled parts to ensure accuracy and function before completing assembly.
* Adhere strictly to safety procedures, environmental policies, and quality standards throughout the assembly process.
* Maintain an orderly workstation, properly store and care for tools and components, and document processes accurately.
* Support Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Test (DFT) analyses to optimize manufacturing processes.
* Participate in manufacturing traceability and rapid prototyping efforts.
* Work on diverse assembly lines, including complex double-sided PCB assemblies, fine pitch SMT, through-hole, POP assemblies, and backplane boards.
* Utilize automated optical inspection, in-circuit and flying probe testing, and end-of-line automatic testing equipment to verify product quality.
* Apply conformal coatings following IPC 610 Class 2 and Class 3 standards.
* Follow Design for Manufacturing (DFM) guidelines to ensure efficient production.
* Maintain quality standards consistently under direct supervision; independent judgment is not typically required.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 12 months of experience in PCB assembly or a related manufacturing role.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions as required by assembly tasks.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
* Familiarity with safety and environmental guidelines in a manufacturing setting.
