RFID Encoder Operator SUMMARY

The RFID Encoder Operator is responsible for encoding RFID labels using encoder equipment and related software. This role involves operating and maintaining small machinery, loading materials, performing setup and quality checks, and ensuring encoded products meet established standards. The RFID Encoder Operator develops a working knowledge of RFID technology through training and hands-on experience and verifies RFID data against quality control requirements.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate RFID encoding machinery, including loading base stock and monitoring performance
  • Maintain a steady daily workflow by accepting jobs from the Sorting team and preparing work for the next department
  • Perform regular quality checks by testing and verifying encoded RFID labels
  • Interpret RFID values and compare results against quality standards and control documentation
  • Report equipment malfunctions, process issues, or product quality concerns to a supervisor
  • Notify supervision of defective or nonconforming RFID materials
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of equipment and work areas
  • Follow established safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by a supervisor
POSITION TYPE / REQUIRED HOURS OF WORK

Full-Time, On-Site Position

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (40 hours per week)

Travel: None required

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and process documentation
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, and percentages
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make timely decisions
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to multitask, including operating multiple machines simultaneously
  • Maintain awareness of safety risks and report unsafe conditions promptly
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in a climate- and humidity-controlled manufacturing environment

Noise levels may range from moderate to high
