CNC Operator
Responsibilities- Operate CNC machine and produce machined parts. Assist with offsets, tool changes, jaws and fixture changes. Perform routine and preventive maintenance of machines including oil, coolant and lubrication.
- Follow standard operating procedures, detailed work instructions, blueprints, and sketches; to machine, drill, cut, shape, bond, lay‑up, compress, cure, sew, trim, and make simple repairs to composite parts.
- Perform in-process inspections and document data as required.
- Work with DXF drawing packages and files, including uploading them to process.
- Read drawings, job orders, and tools instructions for product specifications.
- Assist throughout the warehouse and perform all requirements of the assigned warehouse departments including: shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, delivery, etc.
- Frequently lift, carry or otherwise move and position product weighing up to 50 or more pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products. Typically stand, bend, stoop and/or crouch on a regular basis to operate CNC machine, stock or deliver product to a customer.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years work experience operating CNC and manual machine tools preferred, and two or more years working knowledge of internal operations and products authorized to be distributed through McNaughton-McKay preferred.
- Ability to work from detailed sketches, complex work instructions required.
- Experience or training with manufacturing or machining tasks, which require the use of simple measuring instruments such as tape measures, micrometers and venire gages, preferred.
- Knowledge of shop math, involving decimals, fractions and their application.
- Computer literacy, familiarity with blueprints and computer numerical controllers (CNC) is preferred.
- Must be willing to work in a repetitive production environment with concerns for meeting cost, quality and schedule requirements and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
