Manufacturing Operator - Day Shift

A busy manufacturing plant in Suwanee, GA is seeking a dependable, detail-driven Production Associate to support machines and processes that keep the plant running at full speed. In this hands-on role, you'll kit and pack parts, package products to exact customer specifications, and document your work accurately in the ERP system.

Pay Rate of the Production Associate:

$18.25 per hour.

Schedule of the Production Associate:

5:00 AM to 5:00 PM — 2 days on, 2 days off, then 3 days on. Your first day starts at 9:30 AM, followed by the normal schedule on day two.

Responsibilities of the Production Associate:
  • Assist and support production machines and processes, including kitting and packing parts.
  • Package acceptable material according to customer and product specifications and confirm finished packaging meets all quality requirements.
  • Complete all quality documentation accurately and legibly at the appropriate stages of production.
  • Document process and product data in the ERP system, along with any customer-required reporting.
  • Assist in resolving nonconforming material by following established procedures, including identification, quarantine, and disposition.
  • Follow all safety rules and standards, and immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, and environmental concerns to management.
  • Monitor material quality during handling, label skids of raw material for return to inventory, and return excess packaging supplies to designated storage.
  • Keep machines and work areas clean, stocked, and organized at all times.
  • Identify lean manufacturing and process improvement opportunities.
  • Use shift overlap time effectively by keeping machines running and communicating clearly with the incoming shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the Production Associate:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and understand complex work instructions.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs (location dependent).
  • Must be able to work on government contracts.
