Laser Operator - Contract to Hire

Leading aerospace company in Suwanee, GA is seeking an experienced Laser Operator to run its Trumpf laser cutting equipment and produce high-quality sheet metal components for the aerospace industry. In this hands-on role, you'll set up, operate, and troubleshoot Trumpf machines, read blueprints and work orders, and inspect parts for precise dimensional accuracy.

Pay Rate of the Laser Operator

$28.00 – $32.00 per hour.

Schedule of the Laser Operator

6:30AM-4:45PM Monday-Thursday

Responsibilities of the Laser Operator
  • Operate Trumpf laser cutting machines safely and efficiently.
  • Perform machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments based on production requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production documentation.
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Load and unload raw materials as needed.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments during production runs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications of the Laser Operator
  • 2+ years of laser operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Trumpf laser equipment (required).
  • Experience performing machine setups and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
  • Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
