Production Specialist

The Production Specialist is a floor-level leadership role responsible for overseeing the Molding and Packing areas of the production floor. Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Production Specialist ensures efficient product flow, supports operator training, and helps maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support daily operations in the Molding and Packing areas to meet production goals
• Train and support new and existing operators on standard work and safety procedures
• Answer operator questions and provide on-the-floor guidance
• Monitor product and material flow and address issues proactively
• Ensure workstations are prepared and operating efficiently
• Assist with job rotation and coverage as needed
• Verify quality requirements and escalate concerns as appropriate
• Identify and report safety, equipment, or quality issues
• Support rework and corrective activities
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Model safe work practices at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Working knowledge of molding and packing processes
• Ability to train and coach employees effectively
• Strong understanding of workflow and production efficiency
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Basic computer skills; ERP/SAP experience a plus

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing or production experience required. Experience in molding and/or packing operations strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, use hands for handling materials, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
