Position PurposeThe RN Supervisor provides clinical leadership and day-to-day support within the Skilled Nursing Facility, ensuring Villagers receive high-quality, person-centered care while supporting the nursing team in delivering consistent and compassionate services.
This role serves as a working nursing leader—balancing direct resident care, staff supervision, infection prevention activities, and operational support. The RN Supervisor partners closely with the Director of Nursing and Nursing Home Administrator to promote quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional Villager experience.
This is a non-exempt, working nursing leadership position. In addition to providing supervision and clinical oversight, the RN Supervisor is expected to actively participate in direct nursing care, including medication administration, treatment delivery, and assigned medication cart responsibilities. The role balances leadership, clinical expertise, staffing support, and hands‑on nursing care to ensure exceptional outcomes for Villagers.
Major Duties and Responsibilities Supporting Quality Clinical Care- Serve as a working RN Supervisor by maintaining regular medication cart responsibilities as part of the daily duties of the position while also providing clinical leadership, direct nursing care, and operational support.
- Ensure Villagers receive safe, effective, and person-centered nursing care.
- Monitor clinical needs and changes in condition, ensuring appropriate intervention and follow-up.
- Conduct routine rounds and support care planning, assessments, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, training and support to nursing team members.
- Reinforce accountability, professionalism, and high standards of care.
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development.
- Foster teamwork, collaboration, and a culture of service excellence.
- Support infection prevention activities in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor infection control practices and provide education and guidance to staff.
- Promote a safe environment for Villagers, employees, families, and visitors.
- Support compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and regulatory readiness activities.
- Partner with nursing leadership to identify opportunities to improve resident outcomes and operational effectiveness.
- Share responsibility for staffing coordination, scheduling, shift coverage, and staffing adjustments.
- Support staffing decisions that balance quality care, employee well-being, and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain open communication with Villagers, families, healthcare providers, and team members.
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure coordinated care and a seamless Villager experience.
- Support organizational initiatives and special projects.
- Perform other duties in the best interest of Annandale Village and the Villagers we serve.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of four (4) years of nursing experience.
- Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
- Infection Preventionist Certification (IPC) preferred or willingness to obtain certification within an established timeframe.
