Responsibilities
Always provide SMART customer service through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
- Build relationships with vendors by providing direction and checking to ensure merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe’s specifications.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs (e.g., materials, supplies, time).
- Engage with customers when the opportunity arises. This includes understanding customer needs and assisting in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise, listening to questions, and providing timely, knowledgeable responses.
- Communicate information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
- Maintain merchandising standards by updating/validating way finding and product location signage, and by ensuring displays are safe and in working order.
- Place and merchandise products to drive add-on sales, including cross-merchandising and appropriate use of fixtures and bins.
- Assist with culling and pricing dead and distressed plants and maintain a high level of communication with team members and associates.
- Identify and communicate issues with quality, quantity, and additional needs to the Outside Garden Supervisor and Merchandising Services Manager (MSM).
- Adjust fixtures, rotate stock, and display products and support materials using power equipment as needed per service expectations and processes.
- Review, complete, and enter completion details (when, what, amount of time spent) for all assigned service and maintenance tasks, and document with photographs when applicable.
- Ensure all displays are safe and in working order and repair/replace as needed; repair/seal damaged packaging and boxes and remove trash and debris.
- Replace light bulbs and notify the appropriate contact when maintenance issues are noted.
- Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including daily safety reviews and keeping aisles clear.
- Operate store equipment as needed for the role and department (e.g., lifts, order pickers, and other listed equipment).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Required:
6 months live nursery experience or general merchandising experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 6 months Lowe’s sales floor experience.
- 6 months experience performing product merchandising tasks, including reading planograms and setting up and tearing down displays.
- 3 months experience operating power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
