Marksman Security Officers deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.
Available Security Officer Positions:
- Rover:
Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc. - Gatehouse:
Greet residents and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc. - Front Desk:
Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.
Key Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information.
- Control access for clients, visitors or vendors as required.
- Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment.
- Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications of Security Officers:
- Minimum 21 years of age or older.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service, professionalism and communication skills.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
- Basic computer skills is a plus.
- Experience with report writing and documentation.
- Experience monitoring and surveillance.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background and fingerprint investigation in accordance with all federal, state and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Preferred Qualifications
:
- At least 2 years of security, law enforcement or military experience.
- Valid CPR.
- Valid 24‑Hour Guard Card.
Education
:
High school diploma; GED equivalent.
