About The Role
This position will lead, train and mentor employees through task direction and allocation across multiple functions within the Logistics Center (receiving, shipping, inventory control and slotting of Work Orders). It serves as a liaison for the Manager and provides administrative and technical support. The role utilizes a Warehouse Management System and TD SYNNEX programs to troubleshoot order flow issues and identify root causes, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Sigma techniques and SOP updates.
Warehouse Lead, 4:00 am to 12:30 pm
$22/hr.
What You'll Do
- Delegate tasks across teams (receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, slotting) within the Logistics Center.
- Adapt to workflow needs by rotating self and staff across functions.
- Provide technical support and communicate across all levels.
- Act as a manager’s extension, offering performance feedback.
- Serve as a knowledge resource, answering questions and resolving issues.
- Use the Warehouse Management System to manage workflow efficiently.
- Train and mentor employees as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Operate material handling equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Sigma, Kaizen, ISO).
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Meet attendance and punctuality standards.
What We're Looking For
Previous
Work Experience:
- Shipping, receiving and/or inventory control, integration work order flow.
- Internal candidates: minimum of 3 years high‑volume logistics or logistics center warehouse experience with knowledge of SAP‑WMS, SOPs.
- External candidates: minimum of 5 years high‑volume logistics center warehouse experience.
- Lead experience is preferred.
Education/Certifications
- Preferred:
Associate degree. - Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Working Conditions
- Distribution center environment may include exposure to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, high places, wet and/or humid conditions, and outside weather conditions.
