Responsible for assisting the physician and office nurse in answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, receiving patients and completing the patient encounter as per office specifications.

• High school diploma and Medical Assistant certification from an accredited institution.
• Computer literate with prior physician office practice experience.
• Good customer service skills and ability to adapt to changing needs of the department.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a medical assistant in a physician office.
• Physical and mental demands: ability to think and work effectively under stress; remain calm; move, stand, walk, bend intermittently; lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.; work while wearing or using prosthetics or other aids as necessary.
• Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the assigned responsibilities.
• External and internal applicants who become disabled must be able to perform essential job functions.

• Ability to think and work effectively under stress.
• Ability to move, stand, walk and bend intermittently.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

• Position has a minimal expected experience to become proficient.
