Children Support Worker

We are recruiting Residential Support Workers to join our client, a well-established, family-run children’s residential home with a genuinely homely and therapeutic environment.

The home supports up to young people aged 10–18 with emotional and behavioural needs, low-level autism and ADHD, and trauma backgrounds. While classed as an EBD service, the home operates with a strong therapeutic and trauma-informed approach.

About the Home

Activities & Education Support

The young people are highly active and enjoy:

* Boxing, football, bike rides and hiking

* Trampoline parks and outdoor activities

Residential Support Workers are expected to:

* Attend the on-site school with the young people

* Act as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

* Provide 1:1 educational support

* Support learning during lessons and breaks

Shift Patterns (40 hours per week)

* 7:30am – 10:30pm

* 7:30am – 3:00pm

* 2:30pm – 10:00pm

* 9:00pm – 8:00am

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for individuals who are:

* Kind, reliable and consistent

* Energetic and willing to take part in activities

* Passionate about supporting young people therapeutically

Essential

Experience:

* Children’s residential care (EBD)

* SEN education

* Therapeutic or trauma-informed settings

Training & Development

* Physical intervention training delivered in-house

* Therapeutic training provided

* Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification offered once permanent

* Strong internal progression opportunities
