New Directions works alongside the biggest Welsh schools across Swansea, Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot and Pembrokeshire, and are recruiting for Primary Teachers to work in their local area for daily/long term cover. This role would suit both NQT’s and experienced teachers.

We are looking for dedicated and inspiring Teachers to provide creative and exciting learning environments to help children reach their developmental milestones by using a variety of teaching methods, including artistic expression, educational play and storytelling while providing them with foundational life skills and preparing them for the next stage of formal education.

Job Specification

New Directions Education are recruiting for Welsh Speaking Teachers who would be able to cover various classes within local schools.

We are experiencing a surge in demand. Positions can start immediately, and we can offer you work in as many schools as you wish.

Successful applicants will be covering classes ranging from Nursery through to Year 6, but if you have a Key Stage preference, we will match you up as much as possible.

Due to the current climate, the nature of our work is quite fast paced with supply teachers required to cover last minute absences  will also be able to offer you long term placements if this is of something of interest to you.

We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.

As a Welsh Speaking Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:
  • Have a good understanding of the Welsh language
  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
