Role Details

Pay: £12.71
Hours:
Sat & Sun 24 hours
- Conduct regular safety and security patrols of the site.
- Ensure compliance with all site regulations, assignment instructions, and procedures.
- Support emergency procedures, including evacuations and incident response.
- Remain vigilant at all times, reporting incidents and preventing disruption where possible.
- Accurately maintain records of all activities, incidents, and handovers.
- Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site as a Security Officer.
- Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV as appropriate.
- Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
- Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
- Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
- Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
- Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with procedures detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
- Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
- Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
- Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
- Provide support, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring safeguarding of the premises.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards, and unsafe working practices to supervisor/manager; report and record all accidents in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
- Ensure all walkways and emergency escape routes are always kept clear.
- Report any usage of First Aid equipment and shortfalls in the contents of First Aid boxes.
- Notify the Securitas Operations Centre (SOC) in the event of any emergencies and follow the instructions given.
- Investigate the cause of all fire alarm activations.
- Valid SIA Licence required.
- Must have acquired a full SIA licence before starting operational shifts.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the security industry.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must be able to provide a 5‑year checkable work history.
- Will be willing to undertake a fire safety course provided by the company.
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Reliable, professional, and customer focused with a commitment to delivering exemplary service.
- IT literate with the ability to complete reports and maintain accurate records.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
- British nationality and UK residency for the past 5 years (site requirement).
- Must be over 18.
- No current criminal convictions.
- A full UK driving licence and own transport is desirable.

- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Prior experience as a Security Officer in the Security Industry is desirable.
- A First Aid qualification would be advantageous.
