Facilities Management Service Technician

Our Facilities Management Service Technician plays an integral role in maintaining the equipment and facilities of Hardee’s restaurants and offices, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Technicians provide training to operational personnel, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and support facility operations across multiple sites.

• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of equipment including commercial cooking equipment, ice/beverage equipment, refrigeration units, building control systems, exhaust & fresh air systems, drive‑through audio systems, HVAC units, minor electrical circuits, and minor plumbing systems such as hot water heaters.
• Inspect, maintain, and perform daily maintenance on company van to ensure readiness for on‑call service.
• Log service calls, repair activities, parts usage, and staff time via laptop or handheld computer.
• Maintain and record inventory of truck stock, tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring accurate billing and disposition.
• Coordinate with Senior Service Technician and other personnel for assistance, subcontracting decisions, and training.
• Respond to staffing shortages, new equipment roll‑outs, emergencies, natural disasters, and training needs beyond assigned region.
• Complete all administrative requirements of the position accurately and in a timely manner.

• Valid Class I & II driver’s license.
• Minimum 2 years of service/repair experience in commercial or restaurant equipment.
• Basic knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred; EPA Type 1 & 2 required.
• Experience with refrigeration and commercial restaurant equipment a plus.
• Good references, background check, and drug screen clearance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
