Position Summary
The Utility Technician is responsible for completing specialty pest-control services and supporting branch operations as needed. The primary focus of this position is termite treatments, exclusion work, attic services, and other specialty projects
. This role requires someone who is dependable, comfortable with physical work, and capable of working in crawlspaces, attics, and other challenging environments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform termite treatments, including liquid termite applications and Sentricon installations/maintenance.
• Complete wildlife and pest exclusion work, including identifying and sealing potential entry points.
• Perform attic services, including insulation removal/installation, sanitation, pest remediation, and related attic work.
• Complete crawlspace and structural pest-control work as assigned.
• Assist with specialty services and larger projects requiring additional manpower.
• Perform detailed inspections to identify pest activity, conducive conditions, structural concerns, and potential service opportunities.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with customers.
• Document completed work, materials used, photos, and service notes accurately.
• Maintain company equipment, tools, and assigned vehicle.
• Follow all pesticide-label requirements, company safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Assist technicians and field management with route coverage or special projects when necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide a high level of customer service.
• Identify additional service opportunities and communicate recommendations to customers and management.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry approximately 25-50
lbs
, climb ladders, work at heights when required, and regularly work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas. The position requires bending, kneeling, crawling, standing, and working in hot or cold conditions for extended periods.

Qualifications
A valid driver’s license with 3 years driving experience and acceptable driving record are required. Pest-control, construction, insulation, termite, or exclusion experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, comfortable using hand and power tools, and able to work independently while maintaining quality standards.
