Job Description

Summary: The South Coast Educational Collaborative is looking for a driven intern to join our Business Office team in Swansea, MA. In this internship, you will work in a fast‑paced environment gaining hands‑on experience in core Administrative, Finance, and Human Resource functions including but not limited to:

  • Administrative Support:
    Handling, filing, and managing documents, coordinating schedules, and maintaining records both financial and human resources.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    Creating databases, benefit administration, tracking invoices, and producing reports.
  • Operations Support:
    Assisting with projects.
  • Communication:
    Assisting the Business Office Team.

This internship is designed to provide practical experience in a professional business environment while contributing to meaningful collaborative initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ability to work as a productive member of the instructional team to maximize student outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Business Office Team to complete general administrative tasks.
  • Actively look at job posting sites (Linked In, School Spring, Indeed).
  • Assist with industry related tasks.
  • Assist with keeping files up to date within the collaborative.
  • Actively engage with others throughout the office.
  • General administrative tasks for the firm’s executive leadership to support daily operations.
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining FMLA documentation and employee leave records.
  • Help update and organize benefit resources.
  • Coordinate scheduling and communications for wellness programs and activities.
  • Draft and distribute employee wellness emails, newsletters, and pop‑up reminders.
  • Track participation and feedback from wellness initiatives to measure engagement and impact.
  • Capture photos, attendance, and feedback for event summaries and reports.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Business Office Team, including filing, data entry.
  • Develop positive relationships with employees and students.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Other duties as required.

Salary

Position Type: Summer

Salary: $20 per hour for thirty‑five (35) hours per week.

Job Requirements
  • Required Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, is preferred but not required.
  • Commitment to seven (7) hours per day, Monday through Friday.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good project management and time management skills.
  • Responsible, self‑motivated, and proactive personality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a can‑do attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to the needs of a changing student population.
  • Ability to lift 39 pounds independently.
  • Take and pass the online Ethics training and exam.
  • Three references or two letters of recommendation are required.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
