Special Education Reading Interventionist

The Special Education Reading Interventionist will provide specialized reading instruction and intervention services to students with disabilities across the district. This position is a member of the Student Services Department and reports to the Director of Student Services.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education:
Possession of a bachelor’s degree or higher in education - Experience:
Prior experience providing reading instruction. Knowledge of foundational reading skills - Other:
Massachusetts special education or reading specialist educator licensure

Job Requirements- Qualifications Preferred:
- Education:
Graduate or Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or Reading Training in Orton-Gillingham or Wilson Reading System - Experience:
Prior experience working with students with disabilities. Prior experience providing small group and/or one on one reading instruction. Prior experience working with a multisensory systematic phonics program. Prior experience attending special education meetings - Other:
Ability to design and implement reading academic interventions using research-based methodology. Ability to perform reading assessments, analyze assessment results, and prescribe actions for improvement. SEI Endorsement
