Job Overview

Cardis Furniture & Mattresses, a family‑owned furniture company operating for nearly 100 years, seeks experienced Furniture Sales Professionals to provide exceptional customer service in a team‑oriented environment.

Compensation:
Guaranteed hourly wage plus commission incentive program, with earning potential $70,000 to $100,000 plus annually.

Full‑time, 5‑day work week, including Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

• Exceed customer expectations through outstanding service and product knowledge.
• Greet customers in a timely, friendly, non‑pressured manner.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals set by sales managers.
• Attend, participate in, and contribute to company meetings and training sessions.
• Act as an ambassador for Cardis Furniture, creating additional business via networking and prospecting, including use of social media.
• Maintain an upbeat, positive work environment.
• Enter all sales orders accurately, reviewing with customers 100% of the time.
• Perform additional functions assigned by management.

• Ability to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Interior design or sales experience or knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Physically able to stand and move throughout showrooms for 8–12 hour days.
• Ability to maintain emotional composure in a professional setting.
• Strong work ethic and dependability.
• General computer proficiency.
• Professional dress.

Work performed in a store environment. Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, and fax machines. Requires using personal cell phone for customer contact and personal computer tablet for room sketching. Must view, see, manipulate, and handle product to demonstrate to customers. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must walk or stand on the store’s showroom floor for extended periods, frequently using hands to handle items, reach with hands and arms, and lift small items up to 30 pounds.
