Multi Skilled Tradesman; Handyman

£30,000 upwards P/A (depends on skills and experience)

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm (45 hours per week)

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Tradesman / Handyman to join our modular building manufacturing team. You will operate equipment to manufacture, refurbish, and convert modular and portable buildings, forming a crucial part of our infrastructure.

The ideal candidate must be skilled in various construction tasks, responsible for routine maintenance, repairs, and practical tasks including formwork, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.

• Follow oral and written instructions
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs
• Install smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
• Fit windows and doors
• Complete 1st fix carpentry works
• Meet daily workload and productivity targets
• Record data electronically
• Follow Health and Safety policies, report risks, and complete audits
• Manage H&S issues proactively
• Maintain tools and equipment properly
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping
• Perform other duties as assigned across CAL locations

• Experience in construction or maintenance
• Experience in manufacturing, joinery, coach building, caravan, or cabin fitting
• Basic joinery and plumbing skills
• General all-round handyman skills
• Hardworking with a can-do attitude
• Detail-oriented
• Team player
• Ability to meet deadlines and produce high standards
• Comfortable reading technical drawings
• Full driving license required
• CSCS card preferred
