Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician / Building Fabric Specialist professional looking for your next challenge?
Arcus FM are recruiting within our facilities maintenance team, across England and Scotland, and are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician / Fabric Specialist to deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services across a portfolio of multi-site clients.

About the role:
As an Arcus Maintenance Technician / Building Fabric Maintenance, you’ll work across multiple client sites in your area, ensuring facilities are safe, fully functional, and well‑maintained.
This is a mobile role that offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to showcase your expertise in a range of maintenance & building fabric tasks.
What We’re Looking For You’ll be expected to:- Deliver effective repairs and maintenance work to a high standard
- Respond to reactive issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain clear documentation using handheld IT systems
- Support customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery
- Time‑served, hands‑on experience in maintenance or multiple trades
- NVQ, City & Guilds, or BTEC qualifications in a relevant trade (essential for Building Fabric Specialists only)
- A valid UK driver’s licence
- Confidence working independently and in customer‑facing environments
- Comfortable using handheld IT equipment for work management and documentation
- Solid knowledge of health & safety standards
- Experience in retail or multi‑site maintenance environments
- NVQ, City & Guilds, or BTEC qualifications in a relevant trade
- Patch plastering and rendering
- Carpentry and joinery
- Floor and wall coverings (tiling, vinyl etc)
- Basic plumbing
- Changing locks and fittings
- General fabric repairs
While you don’t need to be an expert in every area, we’re looking for someone with solid, practical experience across a range of disciplines.
Additional info:- Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday–Friday - On‑call rota: 1 in every 4 weeks
